Residential Use Conditions

In the City of Charlotte N1-B: Neighborhood 1 Zoning District, specific dwelling types must meet architectural and siting standards:

  • Duplex and Triplex Dwellings: Must be separated by a straight, singular, and continuous common wall of at least 20 feet in depth. They are subject to a maximum sidewall height of 20 feet unless the average height of adjacent buildings justifies an increase [Section 15.4.EE, Section 15.4.JJ].
