Prohibited Uses

The City of Charlotte prohibits uses that are incompatible with the residential character of the N2-B: Neighborhood 2 Zoning District. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Heavy Commercial: Adult Electronic Gaming, Adult Uses, Car Washes, and Vehicle Dealerships (Enclosed or Outdoor).
  • Industrial: All heavy and light industrial uses, including Craft Industrial (except where specific adaptive reuse is permitted), Salvage Yards, and Warehousing.
  • Transportation/Auto-Centric: Truck Stops, Truck Terminals, and Vehicle Repair Facilities (Major or Minor).
  • Other: Shooting Ranges (Indoor) and Large Waste Containers (as a principal use).
