The City of Grass Valley is divided into several zoning districts designed to implement the city's General Plan. These districts are officially established and designated on the City of Grass Valley Zoning Map [ยง 17.12.020].

Traditional Community Development Zones
These zones are intended to strengthen mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented areas and historic neighborhoods [ยง 17.12.020, Table 1-1].
